Director / Producer - Sam Seder

A BAD SITUATIONIST will be Sam's second comedy feature. His first directing effort, WHO'S THE CABOOSE? (1998) is a cult favorite which found moderate success on the independent film festival circuit including winning the prestigious Black Diamond Award at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, CO.. In addition to playing in art house theaters across the country, CABOOSE has been seen on PBS in Chicago and Boston. Sam has also directed BEAT COPS, a half-hour comedy pilot for Barry Diller's STUDIOS USA. Beat Cops was credited in Variety and ADWeek as being on "the cutting edge of comedy" and being a "harbinger of a coming revolution in how television is made". Sam has had half-hour sitcom writing development deals in the past with Studios USA, NBC Studios and ConanCo (Conan O'brien's production company). Sam has also acted in a wide array of films and in over nine sitcom pilots.


Producer- Nicole Cattell

A BAD SITUATIONIST will be Nicole Cattell's fiction feature debut and her extensive documentary background has prepared her perfectly for this type of run and gun production. An award winning director in her own right, Nicole's last film was the Emmy Award winning COME UNTO ME: THE FACES OF TYREE GUYTON, a much heralded documentary of a Detroit artist's outdoor art instillation called the Hiedelberg Project. Nicole both directed, produce and wrote the film, which garnered numerous festival awards, winning four "Best Documentary" awards and an Honorable Mention at the Sundance Film Festival. COME UNTO ME not only aired on the Cinemax Reel Life Series, but received European television distribution and a limited U.S. Theatrical run. Cattell's first film, OVERVIEW, is an award winning documentary portrait of a 75 year-old woman pilot that was featured in Film Festivals across the country. Cattell, who received her Master's Degree from University of Michigan, has been a freelance director and producer in New York City for four years, with clients including: WNET, EGG: The Arts Show, Volvo Cars of North America, Mercedes Benz and American Express.
